It's summer. I sound like a broken record talking about how I'm constantly battling oil but it's true. I've talked about it before on the blog but one of my favorite ingredients to use when my skin is oily or acneic is Tea Tree Oil. Skinfood is the only Korean brand I know of that has a line of Tea Tree Oil products. I already have the Spot Oil Treatment Kit so I decided to pick up another one, the Skinfood Tea Tree Clearing Toner. Aside from Tea Tree Oil, the toner contains ingredients such as Glycerin, Beta-glucan (an antioxidant and anti-inflammatory) , Panthenol (the alcohol form of vitamin B5), and Portulaca oleracea (purslane) Extract, which also has anti-inflammatory properties.
It's packaged in a spray bottle. After washing my face, I pump some of the product into my palm and apply it to my face. It's clear and looks and feels no different from water. It does have some of that Tee Tree Oil smell but it's not nearly as string as the Spot Oil Treatment is.

I'll be honest, I don't use this product every day. I use it on my T-zone if I'm feeling particularly oily there or all over if I've broken out in several places on my face. I believe there is some merit in using the exact same routine every day in order to see results but I also think it's important to change, add, or remove steps based on the daily needs of your skin.
I have found the Skinfood Tea Tree Clearing Toner is effective in reducing the oiliness of my T-zone but I didn't notice any particular difference in my acne, perhaps the concentration of Tea Tree Oil isn't high enough to be effective as an acne treatment.
A 150ml bottle costs 11,000₩ ($10).
My ratings
Price: 4.5/5. It's cheap and lasts a long time.
Effectiveness: 3/5. I didn't see any change in my acne but my face is less oily.
Packaging: 4/5. Simple and effective, nothing new and inventive about it.
Overall: 4/5. Overall a decent product. Repurchase: Yes. One more item in my arsenal against oil.
TL;DR, Good for reducing oil but as for an acne treatment I'll stick to using Skinfood's Spot Oil Treatment Kit.
